Why a blank screen may appear in Yarno
A blank screen may appear in Yarno due to:
- Slow connection - it's possible that the page timed out when it was loading. This can be due to a slow or dropped internet connection.
- JavaScript turned off - It's also possible that JavaScript is turned off in the browser. The Yarno website requires JavaScript to be turned on to display correctly.
How to resolve this issue
To resolve this issue, try the following:
- Refresh the webpage
- Log into Yarno with a new tab
- Log into Yarno using a new browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, Explorer etc)
- Tip: Avoid using incognito or private browsing mode
If the issue is still occuring:
- Check if JavaScript is turned on or off
Via iPhone:
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap Safari
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap Advanced
- If JavaScript is turned off, the colour in the toggle will be white. If it's on the colour will be green.
Via Android:
- Open a browser window
- Tap on the menu icon, and select Settings
- Under Settings, locate Advanced and select Sites and downloads
- Locate Allow JavaScript and ensure the switch is toggled on (the colour will be blue).
Via Google Chrome:
- Open Chrome on your computer
- Click the 3 dots on the top-right hand side of the window. Choose Settings
- Click Security and Privacy
- Click Site settings
- Scroll down and look for JavaScript
- Select Sites can use Javascript.
Via Safari:
- Make sure you have a Safari window open and active; you will see the "Safari" menu in the top left of your screen. Click it
- Go to preferences
- Click on the Security icon (lock icon)
- Make sure that the Enable JavaScript is enabled by ticking the box.
