In this article, we'll cover:
- What are draft questions?
- How do I save a draft question?
- How do draft questions differ from published questions?
- How does a draft question get published?
- Can a published question go back to draft?
What are draft questions?
Draft questions are questions still in the creation or editing process, that are not ready to be used on a Yarno campaign.
Saving a question as a draft allows the admin to save their progress while creating a question, before all the relevant components of a question (Question, Answers, Explanations, Topics) have been added.
How do I save a draft question?
If you are midway through writing a question and would like to save it as a draft, simply click the “Save as draft” button at the top right of the page:
How do draft questions differ from published questions?
The key difference between draft questions and published questions is that draft questions cannot be included on a campaign. When creating a campaign, draft questions will not be visible in the question list as options.
Draft questions can have Question Topics or Question Collections added just as with published questions, and can be seen on the main Questions page with a “draft” label. The main Questions page can also be filtered to see only draft, or only published, questions:
How does a draft question get published?
Once all the required components of a question have text included (the question, answers, explanation and topics), the button “Save & publish” at the top right will become yellow:
Clicking this “Save & publish” button will publish the question. The question will then be available to add to campaigns.
Can a published question go back to draft?
No, once a question has been published it cannot be reverted to a draft. The question can still be edited however - for more information, check out this article.
